Local banks to host small business loan information session

The Pennsylvania Community Development and Finance Corp. will hold an information session Thursday about the Small Business 504 loan program for real estate and business.

The session will start at 11:15 a.m. at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, 201 Washington St. Corporation Chairman Albert Boscov will host the session.

Local banks and credit unions will be available to provide information about the loan program. There will also be information about small-business financing for veterans.

The SBA 504 Loan Program, offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration, can be used to purchase real estate, fund expansion projects, finance equipment and make tenant improvements. The program also gives small businesses and startups access to loans with smaller down payments and lower monthly payments.
