In my high dudgeon over another city of Little Rock handout to the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce, I overlooked other items of interest on the coming city board agenda.

* NEW JOBS IN LR: One is a resolution necessary to qualify the Midwest Independent Transmission Operator the approval necessary for Arkansas economic tax rebates in return for jobs created in Little Rock. The resolution says a $15 million building employing 60 is to be built for the organization in Little Rock. MISO is planning to take over the task of integrating Entergy Arkansas electricity into the nationwide grid, a job that had been held by the Southwest Power Pool, also headquartered here.

* BOND DEAL: The city plans to issue up to $60 million in bonds to build a facility for Dassault Falcon that the city will lease to the private jet manufacturer at Clinton National Airport. As city property, the building will be exempt from property tax, but the company is to make a payment of an unspecified portion of the tax bill.
