Galaxy Ace Plus Design Resembles iPhone 3G?

Samsung aims to gain more customers from the budget-conscious, releasing the Galaxy Ace Plus, but could run into more legal trouble with Apple as the successor to the popular Galaxy Ace appears to bear a striking resemblance with the iPhone 3G/3GS.

Before we go into the similarities in design, it?s worth noting the changes made by Samsung to the Plus version, including a faster 1GHz processor, 3GB of onboard storage (2GB for content and the rest for apps), and a 512MB ram. The 5-megapixel camera remains the same, so are its connectivity specs ? 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, a standard 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB slot for more storage.

The Galaxy Ace Plus will ship with Android 2.3 and will feature Samsung?s TouchWiz UI, commonly found on its mid-range smartphones. The Ace Plus has a 3.65-inch screen with a 480 x 320 pixel resolution.

Samsung opted to change the exterior with glossy plastic instead of matte plastic, which only made it more similar to the iPhone 3G. The curved edges of course didn?t help either although you?ll see at the back that the camera placement is totally different. So, is Samsung really after the iPhone look or it?s just a mere coincidence on the exterior?
