All about Taping Tools ? What Ever It Is

What is Taping?
Taping is an intricate process involved in Drywall installation. Drywall is a popular building material used for walls, ceilings and many other architectural features. There are a number of tools used in this process, some of which are mentioned below.

Taping Tools:
There are many types of taping tools available in the marketplace. Some of them are:

? Automatic Taper: This is a precision engineered tool which is light, fast and smooth. It simultaneously applies tape and joint compound to horizontal wall joints, ceiling and butt joints and internal angle joints. It is built with durable stainless steel and has hard anodized aluminum parts and offers many years of rugged use.
? Corner Roller: This slick and durable roller is manufactured with a die cast head and has hardened stainless steel top rollers for long lasting angle work. It is used after the automatic taper on 90 degree internal angle joints on walls and ceilings. It embeds paper tape into angles forcing excess compounds.
? Angle Heads: These are used to finish angles quickly and professionally with the correct and consistent amount of joint compound and proper feathering of edges. These have precision machined billet aluminum head and durable stainless steel wings for long lasting performance.
? Extendible Handles: These are to be used with corner rollers, angle heads and other tools. The diameter of the tube is thick for handling comfort. It can be extended easily and quickly by just a simple thumb release.
? Flat Finisher Boxes: These have an adjustable stainless steel blade which provides the right amount of compound to finish flat joints smoothly and professionally. It comes with a rubber gasketed bar system which is flexible and the rubber roller wheels provide a soft ride even when dirty. The moving axle provides better control.
? Nail Spotters: These cover head and nail depressions smoothly and efficiently. It is available in a skid plate or wheeled version. Wheels result in smooth tracking and better control while the skid plate provides protection against nail and screw pops.

Profitable Drywall jobs are solely dependent on these tools, so they have to be kept in good condition and serviced regularly.
