After 4 kids, my husband waved the white flag and got snippity snip snipped (more like punctured, but details really aren?t necessary are they?). Despite telling my parents this, they seem to forget. My dad even went as father as saying, well if you get remarried?? uhmm, my dad is a topic for a whole other blog ?but anywho ? back to what I was talking about. We are done in regards to making any more babies. Zeke is stamped with the baby of the family, and I know I am enabling him up for a lifetime of expecting to be pampered, and he?s only 12 months!
After we had our first 2 kids, I knew I wanted more kids. It?s not that my husband DIDN?T, it?s just he was cool with 2. We spent many years with no birth control and not getting pregnant. I try not to think of it as infertility, as we had struggled with that before 
with our first and when we set out for a third kid, we left it up to God.
During that 5 year baby-less lull, our second child ? E, experienced ?the baby of the family? title. He loved every minute of those years, until we screwed his spoiled life up by having a third and letting all hell break loose in his baby world. It?s taken yet another baby (our fourth), and 2 and a half years for him to grasp the fact that he is no longer the youngest. While this may sound like I?m kidding, and as silly as it sounds?? THIS IS REALITY! My son E still says, I want to be the baby ? *sigh*
I should clarify what I mean by spoiled (because hello trolls and hate mongers): I mean spoiled not in the sense that we bought him anything he wanted and allowed him to throw outrageous temper tantrums and get away with anything. But spoiled in the manner of, ?Oh you hurt your knee, let me kiss it.? Or, ?come cuddle with mommy, if you aren?t tired?. It just seems I have more patience with the youngest!
What is it with the baby of the family and the attention? Being the oldest, I never got this. My sister, the youngest, was coddled and babied throughout childhood. Same holds true in other families, and now I?m doing it with Zeke! ?Is it knowing that you can?t screw this last one up? Is it that you want at least one to love you when you are old? Seriously, why do we do this?!?
